Black Friday is over and Cyber Monday is winding down, which means we get to catch up on some sleep, finally! With a lot of staff members looking pretty zombie-like after the weekend, we can definitely say that Black Friday was busier than last year. The media picked up on it as well -- just look at the media coverage of Black Friday in Canada and RedFlagDeals.com!
I'm traveling in January (after Boxing Day, obviously), and a good travel rewards credit card is a big asset. I think it's tough to beat the Aspire Travel World -- flexible rewards redemption, free travel insurance, a 1.5% cashback option, and more perks. It does have an annual fee, but the anniversary bonus takes the edge off.
I will surely see at least $30 worth of movies in the next year, so I might as well buy a gift card in advance and get $30 in free coupons, right? Right!
I love Threadless for scoring unique clothing any time of the year, but they make especially fun holiday presents. Their kids' selection is great too -- if only Santa had known about this place when I was younger, a cool t-shirt in my stocking each year would have been so much better than the socks he brought.
Even though I went on a bit of a shopping spree over the weekend, I keep thinking I need more new clothes. Winter is all about layering, right? I've been meaning to replace a few of my favourite sweaters, and the idea of a 20% discount makes me all the more likely to head over to Urban Outfitters to do just that.
