| Happy New Year to our ingenious artist community! 2009 was a big year for us. We saw thousands of submissions to Infectious Design Challenges with weird and wonderful themes - from Apple logo cut-outs to Robots to MIMOBOTS. We inherited the fantabulous Popdeck community of skateboard aficionados. We added forums and did a ton of behind-the-scenes tweaking to make the Infectious experience as magical as possible for our artists. But we’re gunning up for an even bigger and better 2010. We’re kick starting off the new decade with a design challenge where we want you to put your inspiration throttle on max. It’s called Off The Wall and it’s our first ever Wall Decal Design Challenge. We’re looking for some ninja designs to round out our Wall Decal catalog and we want you to make them. The sky’s the limit theme-wise. All we ask is that you think outside the rectangle and try and make the art interact with wall in some way. Check out the rules and get your submission kit. We’re always looking for ways to innovate and there’s plenty of plans afoot for improving our artist experience this year. First up, we’re happy to announce the implementation of Infectious mail. Our messaging system lets artists connect with each other and allows fans to send blush-worthy compliments directly to their favorite artist. Want to send a fellow artist a little love note? Go to their profile page and click on the “Send Me a Message" button. We’ve also introduced the option of following threads that interest you in our Forums and you can now also follow threads on your favorite submissions in the voting gallery by clicking on “Follow This Design”. You can control all your notification settings on your personal Account page. Finally, the Incognito design challenge ended last night. Some great submissions. Want to voice your opinion on the best designs? Come join the discussion in our forums. It's also royalty time coming up in the middle of January. As per usual, we'll be sending out payments via PayPal for all artists who have accrued over $20 of royalties. Joey will be contacting you personally about your payment. And don't forget that if you ever want to check out how your art is selling then you can log-in to your account and check out your sales in real-time. Au revoir superstars, Team Infectious |
